Recently, there have been many ETC fraud incidents across the country. Please do not click on unknown text message links and beware of being deceived. The details are as follows:

Step one: send group text messages to gain trust

Scammers send text messages in the name of ETC centers, high-speed management centers and other institutions, and use the excuse that your ETC can no longer be used and you need to re-authenticate if you want to resume use.

Step 2: Fake website, steal information

When you click on the link in the text message, you will enter a "phishing" website that looks legitimate but is actually full of traps. No matter where you click, you must fill in your bank card number, password, ID number and other personal information.

Step 3: Harvest assets after seeing fish out of sight

When you follow the prompts and complete the entire process and think that the authentication is completed, your bank card is already under the control of the scammer, and there will be transfer text messages waiting for you.

Police tips: 1. When receiving ETC-related text messages, you must first clearly see the number that sent the text message. If it is a long series of numbers starting with "+" or other unofficial numbers, be sure to be vigilant. 2. ETC issuers and banks will not send text messages containing links to ETC users. They will not ask customers to fill in personal information in the links via text messages, and there will be no "expired certification" or "invalid activation" links. Therefore, when receiving similar text messages, do not click on them easily. Please confirm with official customer service before performing relevant operations through official channels. 3. Please protect important personal information such as bank card information, payment password and mobile phone verification code, do not leak it at will, and be cautious at all times. 4. If you accidentally encounter fraud, please save relevant screenshots and transfer records, and call 110 to call the police for help as soon as possible.
