Recently, we learned from relevant channels that Apple is preparing to start supporting digital car keys in the wallet application for two new car brands: Hyundai and BYD.
Apple’s feature allows users to lock, unlock and start their vehicle with a digital key in their iPhone or Apple Watch “Wallet”, and the ultra-wideband technology in iOS 15 supports Supported cars can even be automatically locked and unlocked when the user is near, without having to wake up the device.
In 2020, BMW became the first manufacturer to launch digital car keys in "Wallet", and two months ago, Apple also began to list several Kia cars and Genesis models Si models need to support this feature.
