At the CES 2023 show, NVIDIA announced that the GeForce NOW cloud gaming service will go to cars. The first batch of car companies to cooperate with Nvidia include: Hyundai Motor Group, BYD and Polestar.
The new service further expands NVIDIA's in-vehicle infotainment product portfolio, providing users with a complete set of products and services that enhance the cockpit experience. GeForce NOW combines NVIDIA's strengths in gaming and infotainment to extend the real-time, complete PC gaming experience from desktops, laptops and mobile devices to software-defined cars.
Now, new GeForce NOW products can enrich the driving experience while the vehicle is charging or driving, allowing front-seat occupants to stream games while parked, and passengers can play games in the back seat if a screen is available.
GeForce NOW uses breakthrough low-latency streaming technology powered by cloud-based GeForce servers to enable real-time playback of more than 1,000 games, and the service also covers many of the most popular free games.
Taking BYD as an example, it and NVIDIA will further explore the possibility of cooperation in cloud gaming services and introduce GeForce NOW to the international automotive market. In addition, based on the industry-leading openness and compatibility of BYD's intelligent network connection system, BYD plans to jointly customize GeForce NOW applications with NVIDIA. The visual experience of BYD's 15.6-inch adaptive rotating large screen, coupled with HiFi-level Dynaudio audio to restore real sounds, surrounded by ambient lights, and NVIDIA RTX technology, bring users a visual and auditory experience as if they were on site, creating an immersive and easy-to-operate experience.
